Hello, The Department of Social Studies is an interesting one because it encompasses the entire environment of man.However at Hillside Primary school, it is handled carefully, we ensure thorough preparation i.e. Scheming, making lesson notes, making learning materials and then lesson planning before conducting a Social Studies lesson.

These are primary components in the teaching of Social Studies. Social Studies emphasizes knowledge, skills, and Attitude. These are inculcated in various ways, excursions and group work among others. It’s a policy at Hillside not to incline children in a classroom Monday – Friday.

So we make fun but consequently learn and break the monotony of sitting all the time, ultimately motivating pupils. Obviously behind perfecting the latter is a committed, co-operative, motivated and focused staff that speaks one language in the department. Then the approachable dual of directors and all administrators have made Social Studies ‘The department’ God bless you.
